Baby Grow Proposal

Posted by & filed under Your story.

Charlie and James’s special day all began with a Baby grow proposal…

We could not get over how cute Charlie’s baby grow proposal was! With already a beautiful family of four, the only thing that was missing  was photos in an elegant dress. Charlie said it was just a few weeks after their son Harrison was born that proposing came to mind. The couple, introducing Harrison with his older sister, and coming together as a family were enveloped in a bubble of love. Charlie discussed the proposal with a close friend of hers, the same friend who gave her the idea of the baby grow proposal. So with a little encouragement – Charlie proposed, and aren’t we glad she did.

Hintleham Hall never disappoints, with its marbled floors, large sparkling chandeliers and breathtaking grounds. Charlie even admitted that they felt no need to over decorate as the rooms were so beautiful already! One of the most beautiful things of their wedding day, however, was not Hintlesham Hall, but Charlie and Charlie’s dress. The dress with its lace neckline and fluid skirt, looked as though it was made for her, you would think would be an easy choice! However, Charlie regailed her wedding dress fiasco.

As we all know choosing a wedding dress is one of the most important decisions of your whole wedding and for some, it can take longer than others. Charlie was one of the most relaxed brides we had met, she chose everything easily and decisions were coming naturally. Apart from the dress! After already paying for half of a different wedding dress, Charlie suddenly changed her mind. She began searching online and found more dresses that she loved. In Beautiful Designs, Ipswich she finally tried on her dress, and that was it! Charlie claims it was the most stressful thing of her whole wedding!

So don’t worry if you don’t find THE dress straight away, and remember – it’s never too late to change your mind!

Jane and Michael showed us the perfect DIY Wedding!

Jane’s creative flare meant having the most incredible way to have a DIY wedding. Not only Jane and Michael’s love went into this wedding, but a whole lot of designing, attention to personal detail, seeking local creators and finding online gems to put together their fantastically colourful wedding. Jane was so passionate about their wedding day being a fun experience that all of her friends could enjoy. She wanted them to all feel involved in some way or another, and after speaking to her it is clear she well and truly did just that. Before her Wedding day even arrive Jane had kicked off the festivities with a Hen do for her and 15 friends!! wow!

This wasn’t the only festivity Jane and Michael had before the wedding, in the gorgeous quaint village of Kersey in Suffolk is a wonderful pub called The Bell Inn. Jane and Micheal stayed in Kersey in the weeks surrounding their wedding, to take a break in the fresh air and the beautiful scenery in southern Suffolk. On the Sunday Afternoon before their wedding, the couple had afternoon tea in the 14th century pub, which they said was absolutely perfect! Not only that but as the couple were not going to marry in a church they decided to give money to the Kersey Church, you can pay a small fee to have the flood lights put on in the church over night – the view from their room to look over the lights was fantastic.. however after a buzzing afternoon tea our couple were asleep before the lights came on!!

Now drawing back to the DIY parts of the wedding we just LOVE!

On the morning of Jane and Michael’s wedding, Jane arrived in a panto horse costume as a surprise for her husband to be. She was intending to keep the head of the horse on, but after seeing Michael, she couldn’t help but take it off and steal the first kiss of the day! When Jane arrived in her larger than life, comedic way, we knew we were in for a day of fun!

Jane told us how she had always dreamed of designing and making her own wedding dress, however with a few words from a friend reminding her that she would want to look ‘100 million’ on your wedding day, she compromised. Jane designed her dress and then took it to dress maker Susie Grist to create her dream dress – and self admitted, Jane was no Picnic! Though as we flick through her wedding photographs we can see all the hard work that went into it has beyond paid off!

That was not the only Dress Jane wore on her wedding day…

Husband Michael had been working at the Olympics in Rio, and on return was talking about the opening ceremony and particularly about the breathtaking Gisele who strutted up and down the catwalk in a gold sequence dress. With her light hearted approach to life, Jane saw this as an opportunity to do the exact same. Yet another brilliant surprise for Michael was newly wed wife Jane, Strutting out in a gold sequence. Believe it or not but the gold dress was hand made for Jane.!

She bought the material (you will not believe this) for just £2.75 a meter, and Sarah Harris a Silver Jewelry designer and maker, strung together the material to make an absolutely breathtaking dress.

Jane was not the only one with handmade clothes. The men’s shirt were each personally designed by Jane on a online website. The designs are then printed off on too meter’s of fabric which were then stitched into the shirts. with the help of Emma, Lady Britannia who is based in Oxfordshire, the shirts were a dream. If you browse through the photos you will see the men grouped together showing off their personalised shirts – see if you can guess anything about them!!

We could really talk for hours about all the hand made craft that went into Jane and Michael’s wedding, but instead of giving you essays to read through, how about you check out their photos instead and see what you can spot!

Sam and Shaun’s Disney Themed Wedding at Trinity Park.

From tiara to button hole, Sam and Shaun became prince and princess for the day at their Disney Themed wedding. We saw streams of Blue and silver splashed across the day in the light of Cinderella. Their young flower girl was dressed as a little Cinderella, which was just far too cute and their were trinkets of detail everywhere. Guests could find their seats by following the name of the table, which was either a prince or princess!

Our Disney lovers started their day at the Harkstead Church in Essex. The church stands strong and bold in the sweeping countryside around it, from some angles it almost reminds us of a mini castle – perfect for Sam and Shaun!. In true royalty style, Sam and Shaun arrived and left the church both in their very own white stretch limo’s, filled with buzzing excitement from their parties within. Sam told us that she had worried about Trinity Park as they had not had time to set up the venue themselves before the wedding, however, when they arrived it was perfect. The team at Trinity Park had been so attentive to Sam and Shaun’s wedding that everything was ready for them, exactly the way they had dreamed it, and so, not only is Trinity Park a fantastic Venue it is also filled with attentive hard working staff.

Sam and Shaun naturally spread Disney love over their wedding, however some things added a little extra magic. Sam’s bouquet was bursting with gorgeous blue and white flowers, that she wanted to press later. The Blue and White flowers, although dazzling on their own where then decorated with silver trinkets. Every time our Bride moved, her bouquet would catch the light. It would shine and sparkle in a gentle glimmer  – definitely fit for a princess.

Jan and David sent 40 invitations out for their wedding day, but you wouldn’t believe how many people turned up…

Jan and David sent 40 invitations to their wedding ceremony at Bethesda Baptist Church. However, a surprise was in stall. On March 25th 2017, not only did 40 guests show up…but an extra 160 smiling faces arrived to share in the celebration of their love!

Jan and David have a strong loving connection with the church. By the unexpected turn out, it was clear to see how important Jan and David are in the church community.

Having 160 extra friends turn up was not the only wonderful enlightenment of their day. Believe or not, Jan, sadly, suffers from Motor Neuron Disease. Yet Jan and David have such a warm positive glow, and a thankfulness for life, that we would never suspect a thing. They had thought that Jan may need to be in a wheelchair for the wedding, but something sprinkled an extra bit of joy on these two and Jan had no need for a wheelchair all day long!

The couple joined in unison at their local church and headed to The Key cafe for Tea and Cake! Of course they had only expected 40 guests, and therefore had only chosen a small intimate cafe. The herds of guests formed a long winding queue outside, to each in turn get their cake! It really was quite a sight.

To conclude their day we were all joined at the Ipswich and Suffolk Club, a fantastically traditional building with a delicious menu!

Congratulations Jan and David, we wish you every best wish for the future!

Joanne and Faye absolutely nailed every detail of their Same-Sex Wedding – read on to find out how!

When organising a Same-Sex Wedding, there is quite a lot of extra thought that has to go into the process. Will your suites or dresses match? in what order will you walk down the isle? Who’s dad will deliver the speech? Will there be a best man, or bridesmaids? All of the traditional things that others may take for granted, can be a difficult, time consuming deciding process.

However with the right communication, and the right services a Same-Sex Wedding can really be quite spectacular. Our beautiful loved-up couple, Joanne and Faye had some fantastic advice and stories to share regarding the planning of their wedding, so read on to find out!!

Dresses

Perhaps neither of you will be wearing a dress, or one of you is and the other a suit – but if you are, here’s a tip!
Joanne and Faye both chose the same dress stores to visit, Joanne and her bridesmaids were the first to go dress shopping and in visiting just two shops she had already found THE dress. Once it was on, many tears from bridesmaids, mum and bride, confirmed it. Joanne had found her dress at The Suffolk Bridal Company.

The ladies in the shop knew that both Joanne and Faye would be coming in to find their dress. Before Faye came in for her appointment, the girls in the shop had taken the dress Joanne had chosen off the shop floor. Faye could have no chance of seeing it or trying it on herself – phew!. Not only did the girls make sure that Joanne’s dress was safely tucked away, they had also pulled out dresses that would compliment Joanne’s dress for Faye to try – in the style Faye had asked for. Needless to say , Faye fell in love with her dress at the same store.! And see for yourself, the dresses looked incredible next to each other – good job Suffolk Bridal!

Aisle

Can we blame Joanne and Faye for falling in love with Hintlesham Hall? of course not, who doesn’t!? not only is Hintlesham Hall, a grand, elegant venue it is also well equipped with a fantastic team. Now the standard procedure for Hintlesham hall is that the bride will stay in one of the principal suites – Braganza. The Braganza suite has a door leading to a large wide staircase, at the bottom of the staircase is mahogany wooden doors that open to the ceremony room. perfect for the dramatic big reveal moment – love it! However we have two brides here, who both need a reveal! Joanna, who was in the Braganza suite, took herself and her party and waited in the bedroom. Faye then passed through the living room, on her way to the aisle. With the all clear, Joanne and party followed down the steps for her turn.

Of course once the brides were sorted it also came with the discussion of the order of everyone else! Bridesmaids, flower girls, Best men? Thankfully after Joanne and Faye had decided who was going down the aisle first, the rest just fell into place. – Hintlesham Hall, you were fabulously accommodating!

Everything Else…

We could talk for hours about the difficult decisions Joanne and Faye went through to produce their incredible wedding like, how did they choose who got the bridal suite…?! But they made decisions just like any other couple does too; selecting the music to walk down the aisle too, choosing the food, hand-making invitations, designing the centre pieces, choosing colour themes – the list goes on. (Joanne is a self-admitted pintrest addict so if you’re looking for fresh new ideas check it out!).

We had a fantastic time at Joanne and Faye’s wedding and are happy to answer any questions or queries you may have about your wedding! For now.. why not browse through their online wedding gallery!

Paula and Michael blew us away with their beautiful Intimate Wedding

So you’re thinking of having an Intimate wedding? struggling to choose a location for both ceremony and reception? well Paula and Michael may just have the answers!

On the 12th of May we were invited along to capture the love between Paula and Michael on their charmingly intimate wedding day. The couple have only recently moved to a lovely Cottage in Stowmarket with their five dogs, having spent the years before in Essex. This meant that they had no recommendations for the services they used, but as said by Paula they ‘couldn’t fault’ anything on their day.

The couple said their vows in the Stowmarket registrar office, which can be found in the heart of the Town. The historical building has two Ceremony rooms to choose from, one of which has with a maximum capacity of 2 guests!. We love how relaxed and cosy these ceremony rooms are, it heightens the unison and connection in the atmosphere that we already feel.

On the day Paula and her bridesmaids were getting ready before the ceremony with a helping hand from another local Stowmarket service, Molly’s Top2Toe. The beautician’s Charlie and Amber, took their time pampering the bride’s party, designing everything from hair, to eyelash extensions! More importantly the girls of Molly’s Top2Toe made the experience so enjoyable for Paula. When we asked Paula about the beauticians she couldn’t praise them enough!

After the Ceremony,

it was time to lead onto the reception. As Paula and Michael were new to the area they had been searching for a restaurant to hold their 10 guests, in the surrounding area. Paula came across Allen Gardiner river cruise restaurant, a whole boat they could hire for their evening reception – how incredible!.The couple and their close friends sailed up the river Orwell on their own private boat for the evening, wining and dining like kings – who’d have thought such things exist in sleepy Suffolk hey!?

Check out Paula and Michael’s full Wedding Album and don’t forget to get in touch.

See how Mary and Paul Glammed up the outback, in their Country Western Wedding

Mary and Paul transported us and all their friends and families, to a land of cowboy boots, straw chewing, tractor driving and beaming sunflowers in their Country Western Wedding. How lucky did we feel to be invited along on their journey? Incredibly.

It was a no brainer that these two western loving characters would pull off such a unique theme. There were no half hearted efforts here! Peeping out under Mary’s lace dress we caught sight of the most elegant cowboys we have ever seen. Little sunflowers grabbed our attention that were stitched on the back of the guys waistcoats. They were living and breathing their shared love of the country western world.

Paul spends the summer in America, where he works on the farm machinery. For their country western wedding, we saw he brought a little touch of his work along when a HUGE tractor chugged its way into the wedding – we couldn’t miss a photo opportunity! However, the tractor wasn’t the only vehicle hogging the spotlight. They had a classic VW Camper van parked up too, it doesn’t get much more country western than that!

There was a real sense of community at these two’s wedding. The Vicar, of the quaint church of Knodishall that they had chosen, was Mary’s mum Shelia! Though today she had passed her Vicar duties onto their good friend Nick, another Vicar. As the vows were heard, and Mary and Paul walked out of the church with paul waving the marriage certificate over his head like a golden ticket, it was time for the celebrations to continue at another local venue. With only 50 guests, the wedding stayed intimate and cosy!

At Shepards Cottage we saw the Country Western Wedding theme blossom!

I loved the fact that Mary and Paul managed to intertwine a real classic traditional wedding style, such as lots of pure white with fresh crisp dashes of colour. A small country church for the ceremony, and a converted barn for the evening, though everything had a country twist! Their tiered cake had icing flowers, and tiny little cowboy boots sitting on the top which were just too cute to handle. The bouquets consisted of Sunflowers hugged in wildflowers, and some where put in flower pots…which were actually Cowboy boots!

I could list off all of the fantastic things we saw that day, but instead why don’t you see for yourself, in Mary and Paul’s Country Western Wedding Album.

Southwood Hall Wedding Photography

Posted by & filed under Your story.

The Southwood Hall, is stylistic, fun and individual -just like our couple, Kim and Luke.

The Southwood Hall is very accommodating, their relaxed approach and professional staff gives you such a sense of ease on your day. So you can put your worries down and live in the moment, soaking up everything around you!

Southwood Hall has a range of accommodation perfect for relaxing the night before the big day! The Garden Folly is the smallest accommodation that the Southwood Hall offer, but is undeniably romantic. With a beautiful princess tower leading you away to a cost recluse, it is the perfect place to spend your first night as a newlywed couple!

If you’ve got a big group the Southwood House is perfect as it sleeps up to 14 people! The house can also be split into two units with a ground floor annex for less mobile guests. This is where we found Luke on the morning of his wedding, where as Kim was lost somewhere in the huge Curtshed Lodge.

The Curtshed Lodge is complete with hot tub, steam room and own spa plus many more luxuries! It has two ensuite rooms perfect to stay the night of your wedding or for a glamorous stay the night before the wedding!

Back at the Hall Kim and Luke’s wedding was exactly how we imagined it, their individuality and quirky style was reflected in every detail. From skeleton glasses and a gothic cake, to place names on records, and pinup hair do’s – their wedding was a vision of interest. Not to mention the fun activities dotted about including a bouncy castle and a VW camper van Photo Booth – which was an absolute hit! There fun young nature brought everyone together in more ways than the traditional.

At the wedding dinner. The two had chosen to have a roast for their evening meal – an all time classic! but they also got each table to nominate someone on their table to collect the meat from the kitchen. Finished in a tall white chef hat the guest once having collected the meat then carved and served it to the table..such a phenomenal way to break the ice, and it had everyone in absolute stitches!

It is wonderful to see a wedding without restrictions – these two are the perfect way to show that no two weddings should be the same, and The Southwood hall seem to share the same belief! Check out some of the brilliant photographs we got from the day…Enjoy!

Special Delivery – Amsterdam 03.08.16

Elena and Mike, who live in the heart of the Netherlands in Amsterdam had their beautiful wedding in Lake Como. With the fabulous help of wedding planner Sabina Domenici, it was an absolute dream wedding!

A while after the Wedding, the two travelled all the way to England to visit us in the little town of Stowmarket. When they arrived we had a much overdue catch up and heard all about their two new members of the family, Elena and Mike had had twins since the wedding!  However, it wasn’t long before the anticipated Elena and Mike sat down with us to finally view their wedding photos! Complete with snacks and wine we laughed and shared memories as the photos flicked past on the big screen in our home studio.

Watching Elena and Mike’s face light up as the photos bring back so many happy memories reminds us why we do our job! We went through helping Elena and Mike to choose their favourites, and of course, to help put together their desired album. During this time Elena and Mike decided to ring their carpenter back home, who was making them a new unit in their house. They wanted to call and check that the central shelf would be big enough to present the album they had chosen!!

After Elena and Mike had made such a kind gesture to travel all the way over to England to view the photos, we decided to return the favour. Even with the album securely sealed and wrapped, we decided there was no safer way for their gorgeous album to arrive than by personal delivery! So on 3rd of August we flew off to meet Elena and Mike once again, but this time – with a little box of memories in our hands.

Elena and Mike drove us to their lovely home and here they finally received the album they had waited so long for! We sat down once again and went through all of their beautiful moments. This time in their personally designed album, the pages were crisp and the pictures fully retouched. The 35 by 35 Graphi Studio Young Book design album  really did look tremendous. It was so special to be able to share this moment, laughing and reminiscing once more on the wonderful day they had had. They then placed the Album in its rightful place in the central shelf of the unit and it fit like a glove!

Elena and Mike had had a wedding videographer and we were so delighted when they asked to show it to us. Their beautiful wedding video filmed by Movie in White was incredibly professional he had captured every important moment of the day!

Elena and Mike then fed our hunger for exploration of the city! Walking around Amsterdam we can see why Elena and Mike like living here – it is such a beautiful city. We visited the Rijks Museum which is absolutely huge. It is filled with heaps of contemporary and classical Art that is sat in-between oozing amounts of History of the city – we spent 4 hours in there, and only saw two levels of the building!

We had all worked up quite an appetite when Elena and Mike suggested a popular restaurant they knew. It was the most divine fish restaurant we had ever been too! and popular indeed; their friends had set up the restaurant a little over a year ago and it had been fully booked ever since opening!

Just as they were about to head back to the airport Elena dashed into a shop. When she returned she had bought an array of Amsterdam cheeses, crackers and biscuits and gave them to us as a gift! We were so flattered and blown away by this couples generosity! it was such a lovely surprise…and very tasty by the way!

We had such an amazing time in Amsterdam even if it was just for a day! Thank you Elena and Mike for showing us your home and city surroundings, we hope you get the same happiness you did yesterday every time you open your album,

Good luck for your future..

The Easton Grange is a fairly new venue, and it is perfect for your special day…

Victoria and Adam were one of the first couples who were married in Easton Grange. As Victorias dad had helped to build the new extension to the grange it was not surprising she was so in love with the venue! And rightly so – as it is absolutely perfect.

The venue is spacious with two barns conjoined by a long corridor which has a bar and seating area. The large facilities give you all the room you need to create your perfect wedding. This is exactly what Victoria and Adam did!  They decorated the huge Venues from top to toe with little trinkets holding a lovely meaning to them and detailed of decoration’s. Her dad even had spirit levels as cufflinks – perfect for a builder!

It was a fresh spring morning on the day of Victoria and Adams wedding, the sun was just beginning to warm up the day just as it was doing in the changing season. The Easton Grange made a beautiful spring wedding, its light interior soaked up all of the sunlight and reflected it even to the darkest of corners. The large windows that were found all along the new and old barn walls allowed the rooms to open up and feel fresh and welcoming!

There wedding theme complimented the spring surroundings perfectly. All of the bridesmaids were dressed in different colours, but all were pastel shades. From a freshly cut grass green, to a sky blue they effortlessly captured a pastoral ambiance.

Victoria’s dress was absolutely beautiful. It was in the style of a vintage flapper dress, but with delicate beading detail on each layer, hanging like fallen waves. She looked truly stunning.

Victoria and Adam were married in the new build barn which is on the left, the aisle leads down to large glass doors with large open pained windows above. The two had hung white decorations in front of the windows, including a large white woven heart, that dangled above them. The decorations again were so natural and simplistic yet looked so pretty hanging effortlessly in between the two.

These loved up newly wed’s were so fun to shoot with! They had lots of ideas, and we got so many creative fun photos of all the guests together as well as just the two of them. We nearly got carried away!

The dinner and reception was held on the right side of the building in the old barn. They had a live band who played their night away! and it wasn’t too long after their first dance that the floor was crowded with bubbling friends and family!

Check out the Victoria and Adams beautiful wedding photos here..
